Public DeFib Installed

Working alongside the amazing charity Promise Of Hope we raised money to get a Public Defib installed on our building.

A collaboration from two community organisations to install life-saving kits across Braintree.

Witham Hub and Promise of Hope, a community-centric micro-organisation in Braintree, have ensured the installation of four defibrillators, accessible to the community 24/7.

The project has included networking with other independent businesses and organisations based across the community.

CrossFit Braintree proprietor Gavin Poulter and his members proudly supported fundraising towards their location in Lakes Industrial Park, where a defibrillator has now been installed.

The UK has over 30,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests a year, however, the survival rate is sadly low, with less than 1 in 10 people in the UK surviving an OHCA

Early CPR and defibrillation can double the chances of surviving an OHCA.

Our new defibrillator installations have been strategically located in high-traffic (easily accessed) prime locations, should they ever need accessing. These locations are:

Goldingham Hall, Goldingham Dr. CM7 1AW

All our defibrillators live on the network are also registered on The Circuit, a national defibrillator network. Data on defibrillators registered on The Circuit are visible on the despatch systems used by 999 call handlers.
